Over the course of the next few years, it is projected that 1 out of 4 bookings will be Internet driven. This is good news for our industry as it is the cheapest form of marketing. Individual and group hotels can compete on the same platform. There is a global consensus highlighted at various seminars and workshops, that the online marketing of hotels in Ireland is extremely weak. There is a shortage of trained personnel in this sphere of marketing, particularly in the hotel industry, there is also a lack of impartial advisors in relation to Web optimisation via 3rd party suppliers. |
