Net Assist

Sandra Maybury is managing director of
Net Assist, the hotel industry’s internet distribution
support service provider. Established in 2005,
Net Assist offers
a three-phase service beginning with a comprehensive audit
of on-line presence, competitor analysis and rate housekeeping.
Based on these findings, an internet marketing plan is
implemented, which includes selecting suitable third party
suppliers and contracting on behalf of the hotel. The final
phase is a mentoring service which includes reporting and
on-going market analysis.
In conjunction with other specialists
Net Assist will provide a comprehensive service right through
from auditing to implementation to reporting. |

SANDRA
MAYBURY – MANAGING DIRECTOR
Having
worked in the hotel industry for many years, Sandra specialised
in the area of GDS and Internet Distribution
Systems, 3rd party contracting, web optimisation and training
and previously latterly headed up the internet distribution
departments of some of Ireland’s fastest growing
hotel groups including Choice Hotels Ireland and Ramada
Hotels. Sandra identified a gap in the market for her area
of expertise and set up Net Assist, a support service for
independent and group hotels.
Sandra holds the position of Chairperson for the Dunmanway Enterprise Network.

MARIA CAROLAN
With over 10 years experience in the hotel industry, Maria started her career in the Royal Dublin Hotel, where she spent 7 years, working in various management roles and specialising in Front Office, during this time, Maria completed a Certificate in Hotel Management from Cathal Brugha Street. She then spent one year as Front Office Manager at the Gresham Metropole Hotel and more recently two years as Revenue Manager, moving on to Deputy General Manager in 2004 at the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre, Clonakilty.

EDEL O DONOVAN
Edel recently re-located to West Cork from Dublin, where she spent 6 years as Accommodation Manager at the Centre of English Studies, Dame Street, Dublin, responsible for the Adult Student Department, placing students in host-family, self-catering and hotel accommodation. As part of this busy role, Edel liased directly with the Marketing Directors of the Centre. No stranger to the hotel business, Edel started her career at The 5* Westbury Hotel, Dublin as Senior Receptionist and Reservations Manager. Edel completed a Diploma in Tourism at Inchicore College and went on to study Office Technology at Pitman Computer Training.

KAREN WYCHERLEY
Karen joins Net Assist from Cork’s 5* Hayfield Manor Hotel, where she started as Conference & Banqueting Coordinator in October 2000, then moved onto Front Office Manager and Reservations Manager. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hotel and Catering Management) at Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology and now has 10 years hotel experience, other properties include the Forte Posthouse, Herts and Jurys Hotel & Towers, Dublin. More recently Karen completed a Diploma in Marketing at Cork Institute of Technology.

CHRISTINA GILIBERTI
Christina joins the company from the UK, where she worked predominantly within the travel industry, specializing in online marketing. Christina has worked previously as Online Editor with Monarch Airlines, E-commerce executive for Travel Extras, in Ground Operations for Thomsonfly and Technical Analyst at Gossard. Already holding a Marketing Certificate and Internet Webmasters, Christina is also studying towards an honours open degree with an emphasis on Marketing and Business.

MARIA MURPHY
Maria is the youngest member of the Net Assist team, recently graduating from University College Cork with an honours degree. Maria is a great all rounder, holding certificates in Marketing, IT and Law. She has worked previously in office based roles handling customer accounts and sales reporting.

MARIAN WALLACE
Marian has extensive experience in website management, online marketing and sales techniques. Her roles have taken her to Amsterdam, UK and back to Ireland, her past roles include Business Objects Analyst for Cisco Systems and Intranet site developer/analyst/IT support for Amerada Hess. Her responsibilities covered all aspects from website structure and content to online promotions and reporting. Marian has completed certificates and training in Business Object reporting, Search Engine Optimisation, Small business Management and Access Accounts.
